Privacy Policy

Saathi is a business-management software product by Pinaki Agency. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Saathi, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Saathi (“we”, “us”) is operated by Pinaki Agency, India. For any privacy question, contact us at info@pinakiagency.com or +917974815379.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — if you enable Cloud sync, we receive your name and email from Google Sign-In.
  • Business data you enter — your menu, items, prices, orders/bills, inventory, purchases, vendors, staff PINs, expenses and reports.
  • Your customers’ data — if you use loyalty/CRM, the phone numbers and points of your customers, entered by you.
  • Enquiry / waitlist data — the phone or email you submit through our contact or “Notify me” forms.
  • Limited technical data — basic device and usage information needed to run and improve the app.

3. Where your data is stored

  • Local-first. By default, your business data is stored on your own device (in the browser/app) and works fully offline. It does not leave your device unless you turn on Cloud sync.
  • Cloud (optional). If you enable Cloud sync, your data is backed up to Google Firebase (Firestore) under your own account, isolated so that only you (signed in) can read or write it.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the billing, inventory, reporting and related features.
  • To back up and restore your data, and let you view it from another device, when Cloud sync is on.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
  • We do not sell your data or your customers’ data to anyone.

5. Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run Saathi:

  • Google Firebase — authentication and cloud database (when Cloud sync is on).
  • Vercel — hosting of the application.
  • Resend — to send transactional/notification emails.

WhatsApp messages (e.g. day reports, customer orders) are opened in your own WhatsApp for you to send — we do not send them on your behalf.

6. You and your customers’ data

Where you store your customers’ information (e.g. phone numbers for loyalty), you are the controller of that data and responsible for using it lawfully. Saathi processes it only to provide the service to you, on your instructions.

7. Data security

Cloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, and isolated per account. You are responsible for the security of your own device and your app/manager PINs. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Local data can be erased any time from Settings; cloud data can be deleted on request. To make a request, email info@pinakiagency.com.

9. Data retention

We keep cloud-synced data while your account is active. You can delete your data at any time; backups may take a short period to fully clear.

10. Children

Saathi is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use means you accept the changes.
